I'm a life long firearm enthusiast with a new passion for Dan Wesson revolvers. I've had the privilege to hunt everywhere from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, to the Hill Country of Texas, to the deepest swamps of South Florida. I've been blessed with the opportunity to take some great animals. I've also been blessed to introduce new/different people to the sport I'm so passionate about.

I need to send a special thanks to forum member brucertx for introducing me to the world of Dan Wesson. I'd also, like to send a big Texas howdy to forum member SteveCT. Without you two fine fellows I'd still be standing on the sidelines waiting my turn. Thanks for making me a part of the Dan Wesson family.

Welcome aboard my friend! Monday we are gonna take that bad boy to the range and cut some clover. You can plug away with my 741 too.

I do have to warn you that you may come down with dwas(Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome).

To fill the rest of you guys in, we have been good friends for about five years. We've gone hunting, gone shooting, gone drinking, done some business together, talked college football (endlessly) and told each other a few lies. Took him to his first hockey game and now he has his first Dan. (I really got tired of wiping his drool of mine)

That Dan belonged to Steve. I got it from him and passed it on. Steve can fill in the pedigree (the gun's..not mine)

Nice to see the Dan stay in the family. Bruce's warning about dwasis no joke. It's a very slippery slope.

It's too bad you guys aren't closer. It'd be nice to get together for a little target practice.

Hey, I know that gun!

Glad to see it go to a good home.

In spite of the fact that I included a DW Barrel Wrench, do yourself a huge favor and but a good one from EWK Arms.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I already told him the wrench was "window dressing" and pointed him towards Erick and EWK.

You know more about that Dan than I do. Tell him what he's got!

I am certain that it is originally a blued 14-2 that got refinished by a previous owner in either Nickel or Chrome. After buying it, I discovered that it had probably been shot with .38 Spl almost exclusively, .357 Magnum would not chamber. Scrubbed out the chambers to resolve that problem very successfully.

The 6" B/A is from the 15-2 that I had refinished in bright nickel, and the low profile white dot front was original equipment on my PM-1S 1911.

Here's another look at this one when she was the "Nightstand Gun"

I'll just say welcome, even though I know I shouldn't, judging by the company you keep.  Who knows, maybe you are actually a decent fella who's feels they can change those two brothers.  I dunno... They're Old School BIG 10 and probably can't be changed...

All That aside- get out there and shoot that thang!  You'll love it.

Now Ron, you are getting pretty cocky now that your Conhuskers aren't the newbies of the BIG 10 anymore.

Hmmm, thought I noticed the earth getting a little bottom heavy. Must be that weight of iron you are accumulating!
