Good morning. I had a 6" 15-2V back in the early 80's and foolishly traded it away for something I thought I wanted more. I've regretted it for years, but yesterday I found a 4" 15-2VH at the gun show and now I'm a happy new Dan Wesson owner. I was pleased to find this forum and look forward to learning more about my new old revolver.

to the That's a great combination. Just right for good, fun shooting. You can spend many hours learning all there is to know about Dans here. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. someone here has probably experienced the same thing and will be happy to help you out.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. My DW will need a little cosmetic work before I'll be ready to take pictures of it. The grip is in pretty sad shape, but I've ordered a Hogue monogrip that should be here in a few days. I also ordered a Wolff spring kit and I've opened it up and polished the internals. It's smoothing up nicely. I'm wondering if anyone uses the 7 and a half pound Wolff mainspring and if it causes light strikes in double action.
