Hello all, I used this forum quite a bit when I was researching a possible trade. Great news is everything worked out. Last weekend I traded for a Dan Wesson 715, manufactured in Monson Massachusetts.
I traded my Remington R1 1911 and 200 rounds for it . He threw in some 357 mag, 38 special, and a holster. I am pretty damn happy with the deal. I paid less than Rock Island price for the R1 and was never quite happy with it.
This is my first revolver. I also have a Beretta M9A1 and a new Ruger 22/45 Lite I picked up last week. I haven't had any time to hit the range and test it out but I did just give it a thorough scrub down. It had years of powder caked on. Still shines like the day it was made. Now the trouble of assembling my own pistol pack. Stainless steel barrels are a pain to find.
