Just purchased my first dan wesson, but I own a couple of smiths. Bought it because it feels like a smith, but performs like something totally different. I have no idea what model it is and could not find the serial on the list for this sight. Could someone point me to the correct thread?

Well...based on the info thus far, I suppose a couple 
would help. 
And yes, a DW is no Smiff...
It's a unique gun unto it's own.
