Hi. I have been a Cowboy Action, USPSA, and IDPA competitor for more than a decade. Bought more than 50 guns as my interests changed thru the years. Recently my focus has been on IDPA, competing with Glocks and SA 1911s, all in 9mm. I decided to move up a bit and purchased a new DW Guardian back in August. I have really been impressed with the fit and finish as well as the smoothness and accuracy, right out of the box. It really is a step above. I am so glad I waited until one became available.

Welcome to the Forum! The Guardian was my introduction to 1911's. It has really snowballed from there!

Thanks. I really like the balance compared to full size full weight 1911s. Target to target transitions are easier, for me at least.

I have a very early (2002?) Pointman Major C. 45acp. It is fabulous, tight and accurate. Funny thing is my Ruger 1911(another early gun) is as loose as a goose but the trigger is almost identical to the Dan and it is as accurate. 1911s rock. With that being said, the Revolvers are the most accurate production Revolvers ever made and among the most durable. Give them a try next. Welcome to the Forum.
