I'm very familiar with the Dan Wesson revolvers.  I just found this site while trying to get a feel for used DW prices. At the moment I am without ANY DW guns. I do have a line on a 22 with a 6"vent barrel. I'll let you know how that goes but don't ask for pictures. I don't have a clue how to post them. Broken Computer

Here in west central IL gun shops are few and far between, and seldom do i see any used DW's. But I keep looking.

In the past i've had a 22 8VH, a 744 8VH(ported), and several 357's of various barrel styles, including one with the 15" barrel. That thing needed a trailer hitch and wheels! lol2

oleblu,

Welcome to the DWF Sign .  Seems like you must have read enough to know that, I can't help it Post Pics.  But since you don't own the gun yet we'll let you off the hook, for nowLaugh.  Sounds like a great way to start the collection again with a nice .22V revolver.  There is a thread somewhere here that walks you through the process of posting pics when you get to that point.  Glad you joined our ranks.

Welcome aboard, glad to have ya!Laugh

There's a help link on the right of this screen under FAQ's, for pic posting tips. I hope you are able to land that .22 you've got a lead on...because once you own a DW, it's tough to go without.GoodLuck

Welcome oleblu

I've been to Galesburg...nice biplane get-together they have there. It's a lot like where I live now...not many gunshops around, so the internet is my best option for finding guns. Good luck in getting that .22.

IHMsA80X80, yes, the Stearmans come every year. Believe it or not, I went out to see them this year for the first time since I moved here in '74. I even know where Scott AFB is. I grew up in St. Jacob, just north and a bit east of there.
