Is your 15-2 spitting propellent? What are your symptoms of timing being off? Off center firing pin mark? Could just be the barrel cylinder gap. You came to the right place. Don't take it to a gunsmith. Most are woefully ignorant about Dan Wesson revolvers.
Hard to tell about the firing pin mark from the photos. If the gap is too big it will spit propellent. Do you have a barrel tool. Read the forum about setting the gap. Factory says six thousandths of an inch on the proudest chamber. Measure all six chambers. I use a automotive feeler guage instead of the shim they provide. Do not force the shim in. It will push the cylinder back against the dedent ball and result in too small a gap. I would use 4 thousandths of an inch on a 15-2. Take the barrel tool with you when you shoot. Always unload when adjusting the gap. When you tighten the barrel nut put a thumb against the forcing cone so the barrel doesn't turn. Don't over tighten the nut. Snug is good enough.
