So please don't fuss cause I don't exactly know how to use this forum but I've been told if I wanna know what year my Dan .357 was made to come here. Well I can't find where I'm supposed to ask so I hope you don't care for me to ask here. I also don't really know how I'm supposed to go about asking. Anybody that can help I'd really appreciate it.

Michael- Please slow down!
Between Admin/Moderator/Range Officer/Dan's Club/Site Supporter/ie- all the people that know Dan Wesson revolvers (and 1911's), you have a knowledge base here of about 1000 guns. Almost any DW revolver and many 1911's ever produced are owned on this Forum.
Think about what you want to know, research DWF, learn what you can, and then reach out for help. Open posting for questions (in the appropriate Forum) is OK, and our Range Officers are a great resource as well.
Outside of DWF (and especially on Facebook) you will not find much OWNER/SHOOTER knowledge anyplace else
I have yet to see a Dan Wesson revolver that is anywhere close to "junk" unless it has been massively abused.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Ron, I think we have a policy against you showing your "junk" on DWF, and especially bragging about your "junk"
Oh wait, different "junk" I guess

Ron, I'm good as long as your junk in the trunk are Dans in a foot locker.....
Michael,
I think the moral of the story here is not to assume you have "junk" because it's a different date than the seller told you. In the Dan world of wheel guns and 1911s, there ain't no such thing as junk.........
Let me also say welcome to the forum. You have found a very unique firearms forum. Please ask any question you may have, because there are lots of folks with tons on Dan knowledge.

+1 Brucertx... Michael, I do not think Dan Wesson ever produced a bad gun. Maybe on a bad at work one or two got out that had to be adjusted out of the box, but nothing foul. You get her cleaned up, lubed lightly and set the gap at the barrel/cylinder, you are gonna find one of the finest shooters ever to be built....IMHO.
to ... Your gonna like this forum and your Dan Wesson Revolver..
And I will follow by saying,... Show her off man, we love .

Thanks guys. Didn't realize I had more comments. I wasn't saying it was junk though. I know no matter what anybody says it's a great gun. I just meant are the pre 1980s better than post 1980s? And well since mine was made in 1980 which would it be? Pre or post? I can't adjust my cylinder gap though. It didn't come with the spacer or anything. Just the gun and I can't afford to order a tool. Oh and I'd love to post pictures but can't figure out how. I'm on an iPhone.

Oorah!!
Well, Michael it is a little tougher from your phone cause they would need to be resized, most likely, to fit. We weren't really trying to bite ya about the junk...we all know what you mean. You will need a barrel wrench but you can a flat feeler gauge from the auto parts house... Let me rummage thru my "junk". if I find something anygood for you to use I will PM you.
