Just acquired my grandfather's Model 15 that I have wanted since my early childhood.  It is a blued Model 15 that came with the 2,4 and 6 inch barrels as well as the factory tools...I just wish it still had the briefcase with it still.

Sidenote-this weapon has NO serial number on it anywhere...any idea why?

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Welcome to the forum!  Hope you enjoy the site!  I have heard of another very early DW not having a serial number as well.

Under the grips or under the crane where S&W puts their model

number is the only two places the old DW's will hid it. It's there

somewhere, that or a grind mark, but somethings there.

Took it out last weekend and put 400 rounds through it...possibly the smoothest wheel gun I have ever fired.
