Welcome to DWF, I have a DW 1911 as well, it is a great gun.

This started as a mostly DW Revolver forum, but we have many 1911's (DW and otherwise) owned on the Forum.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome.

I have a customized (by DW) Razorback RZ-45, a CBOB (.45) and my wife has a Pointman 9.  They all out-perform our custom shop Kimber's.

You'll love your new gun.

Looks like some of Sarge's grips to me.  BEAUTIFUL wood!

I was thinking maybe Esmeralda, but in any case, really nice.

Not to create more LB Frenzy, but these just showed up in the  mail a couple of years ago.

I would suggest Esmeralda too.  That way LB can concentrate on grips for our revolvers.  She does a beautiful job.  Don't see what you like? Wait a week. Still not available, email her and ask for what you like.  She's very accomodating.

I think LB just made a few sets of 1911 grips for friends, if I was in the market for 1911 grips, it would be Esmeralda or Sarge's Grips .

Incredible; Take a look at the available grip blanks page.

These grips from Lone Star look great, their photos show them on a stainless gun, I think they really belong on a blued gun
