I've shot and owned guns most of my life and I recently developed an addiction to 1911s. I've decided that I want to buy either a DW Valor or a DW Specialist and my internet searches have lead me to this site.
I will post pictures when I find one. Thank you for letting me be part of your Forum!

Welcome to DWF!
Even though you have identified your next "target of opportunity" as a DW 1911, please tell us a little bit about you and what you love to shoot
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome to the forum from PA! . Both of those 1911's are superb and you won't go wrong with either one. The rail on the Specialist could be a problem if you plan to carry this, otherwise the two guns are about identical. Post pics when you decide and have gun in hand.
Tell us more about what you like to shoot.
