I do not own a DW yet. I have just decided to purchase my first large caliber hand gun, and it looks as if the DW has won the competition. I will be purchasing a 357 for the first one. I want something I know I will be able to shoot comfortably, easily carry, and is dependable. I have my eyes on a gun, but I am still saving the money for it. It's almost perfect and they want $370 for it. I will plan on using it for short range hunting and a CCW with the option of increasing to a 44 in the future. I'm not a small framed guy, just not a fan of recoil. I am not a current DW owner, but future.

I saw a new name hanging out on the "Currently on Line" late this afternoon, it looks like you did some looking around, and we're glad you are here. No other revolver is going to allow you to hunt and CCW loke a Dan will.
Let us know how things work out, but you can't really go wrong with a nearly perfect Dan Wesson at $370.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

It's blued and at a dealer. I have found some online cheaper, however, it is worth the extra 120 to hold it before I purchase. However, after looking for ammo, I'm starting to think 44. I really want a 357, but a firearm is uesless without some lead to sling through it. Around here you can't find a 357 round to say your six o'clock. 38s are almost as bad. Half the time I can't even find 22 ammo. Considering this is firearm number 5 and the OBC (off base commander) says I can purchase one every year we are married, I guess i should look at reloading anyway. Now if I can just talk her into putting the damn thing on credit before it is sold. I told her if they sell it before I get a chance to buy it, I'm going to pee the bed. Its a loose loose situation, but I will feel vindicated!!

The ammo situation is going to improve, and .38/.357 will always be easier to find and afford than .44. I've only bought one sight unseen, and it worked out well, but I agree that I'd rather handle and inspect before buying.

I put the gun on layaway today. I also found out it comes with bianchi cyclone holster. I don't know much about handguns, but I was told this is a nice holster. On friday I'm heading down to pick it up. grand total on purchase is 402.00. I also found some buffalo bore 157 gr. rounds for deer season and some 38 sp rounds. I thought the 38 sp was to small for white tail deer but the rounds I bought said they were designed for white tail. Anyway, friday is game on!!!
