Just wanted to say hello to everyone and say thanks for a jam-up forum! I have enjoyed countless hours going over everyone's posts and info.I'm in the process of acquiring a ss .445 sm nib palmer era and I am so excited! I've been a handgun hunter for over thirty-five years and have taken a lot of game with my model 57,629 classic hunter,and my 629 classic dx but have always wanted a DW .445 so i posted a wanted post on one of my forums and lo and behold a fellow member said he had it and would let it go.Talk about dream come true! Anyway glad to be here and thanks.

Welcome to the forum, yes we will want and a range report! I don't have a 445SM, but have shot one it is an awesome revolver.

The .445 is a real powerhouse. It shouldn't be much more than your Smith 29, Dan Wessons are big, heavy guns. I've been known to plink with mine, using full-power 300 grain loads. Range rats don't like me too much.
