Howdy to all!

I'm a new member to the forum. I've been collecting many different items for this hobby/passion I love. The most recent acquisitions includes "My Prize," 44 Mag Pistol pack. Complete with 6+8" VH shrouds, 2 Blued barrels and 2 Stainless ported barrels to go with the shrouds, it came with patch, buckle, tool, suitcase etc. It was shot 30 or so times by its original owner who is now in his 80's. After I obtained that I was bit by the bug and acquired a 357 Mag V 6" blued, which came in excellent condition, and a NIB New CZ Production Pistol Pack, stainless of course, with the 4,6,8" Barrels. I haven't shot any of them, though I've enjoyed handling and gazing at them in wonderment!

I've never shot a Dan wesson before, I like their design and the fact they are out of the ordinary, not a smith, colt or ruger. The only other Revolver I own and have shot with great success in an industrial Bullseye league is a Jerry Miculek S&W PC 627-3 Pre-Lock. Having not fired them, I must say the trigger on the Dan is very nice considering it hasn't had any work to it, though my Smith's trigger is the difference between a Browning HP worked trigger vs a factory trigger with the mag disconnect still intact.

I look forward to reading posts from here and hearing all about other Dan's Revolvers in the days to come!

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Andrew, Welcome to DWF. Please be very careful using those ported barrels. The DW "Power Control" barrel tubes with the small holes at the muzzle end are:

1) Useless, with no impact on muzzle "flip"  or recoil control while shooting

2) A problem with filling the space inside the shroud with lead/un burned powder/jacket resdue. Regular cleaning of the tube, shroud and ports is necessary.

3) A major pain in the ass to clean and maintain with no real impact on "Power Control"

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Nice collection you've put together.  You'll like the newly redesigned CZ 715 pack.  Some of the subtle design changes they've made are nice improvements to the original.
