Hello,
I hope this thread finds everyone in good spirits and health and staying warm, dry, cool, wet, or whatever your preference is. There is about a foot or two of snow in my front yard and I have cabin fever. So I did the natural thing and purchased a gun. LOL Yep I'm rather impulsive and by sheer luck, I purchased a Dan Wesson 44 mag with a 6 inch barrel from http://www.gunbroker.com. I've wanted a 44 ever since I was in was in high school and I got to shoot my friends TC 44. I'm also an addict to accuracy and when I read about the reputation of Dan Wesson's, I decided on them rather than a Ruger or S&W.
I haven't recieved the gun yet so I can't post a picture, but it is blued, comes from Monson, and it was manufactured in 1985.
All my shooting now is strictly target. I live in the city so I don't have any place to go hunting anymore. Plus I don't like to shoot unless I know it will be a quick and painless kill, so that's another reason I don't hunt anymore. However, I have no problems shooting and wounding paper zombies out to the 100 yard range or beyond. Most of my battles with the evil undead are indoors at around 10-25 yards.
I'm also on the hunt for a 9.5 inch barrel even though I don't have the revolver yet. I know the life of a new addict is very sad.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone.
@ Ole Dog, I was thinking more along the lines of a 2' barrel if they make my wife can carry it in her purse and hide it from those pesky polar bears that are migrating south.
@ PSFMG2, thank goodness I'm not the only one in this neck of the woods. Any good ranges in your area that have longer than 100 yard lanes?
@ ChargerFan, I hope your evil undead kills in the form of bottles and cans are dead soldiers from when you weren't shooting.
@ BobAk, I lived in Northern WI for a couple years and had a taste of what y'all go through up there in AK. I don't know how you do it. I would go broke and bonkers in the winter. LOL
@ IBruce, I'm eyeing a 10' ported barrel now, so hopefully the ride won't be too wild.
@ RSwem, Knowledge and surfing are why I came here.
Y'all take care and have fun!
