Good evening, Yep, sad to say I live in the Peoples Republik of Maryland. Our Pols like to use Md as a testing ground for lots of new gun control legislation, its a shame that but moving isn't an option for the time being so I'll make do rather than do without.
I realized that I have a total of 3 Dan Wessons, all Monson
1) 6" .44 mag with a vent rib and ported in the front. Blue Maybe a 90% gun or so, its a shooter and fun at that. I'll need to put dome PB Blaster on the barrel nut...its way tight.
2) A Model 740VH 8" .357 Max vent rib heavy shroud NIB condition There is a note on the box by the original owner indicating 22 rounds fired. Its got the papers and tools. Haven't fired it yet but I'll get to it.
3) Model 15 6" vent rib, blue. Counterbored cylinder 99%+ condition in original box with papers, 2 tools. Paperwork includes the warrenty card and one or two articles about how wonderful DW revolvers are, they look like the factory put them in, they aren't torn out of a magazine.
I have an assortment of other guns, I enjoy Living History ca USMC Vietnam, War of 1812 and 14th Century Irish Gallowglass. Fishing is high on the list as is 4Wheeling in my Pathfinder (yeah, its all rednecked up)
Hope to see some of ya around.
Later,

Welcome Piscator! Yep, “Peoples Republik…” we've been seeing that in reference to California - if the current crop of pols have their way - it'll be all of the U.S…
Sounds like you have a great line up there - Also sounds to me like that 740VH is begging for you to put a few boxes through it!!
When you get around to it plug some pictures into the pictures forum. Also, if you have a scanner, we would love to have copy of the documents that came with your model 15 - sounds like stuff we don't have.
Check our “files” tab if you haven't already - there is an email address to send your stuff to and Jody will put 'em up as part of the archive. We are accumulating a lot of VERY cool (& hard to locate) information.
Great to have you as a member!

Welcome aboard, glad to have ya!
Yeah, if the pols have their way, we'd all be stripped of weapons of any kind, pay taxes on every foot we drive our cars & eat nothing but beans-n-rice in a house where the thermostat won't go beyond 65º in the winter.
Anyway, it sounds like you got yourself some good ones before they got all tough on ya. I've heard that the main downside to a ported DW is getting too much gunk in the barrel nut, sort of a bummer. I like the PB Blaster idea though, that's some great penetrating oil...I use it all the time on frozen threads. Marvelous invention.

Thanks for the generous welcome.
I will scan the docs as soon as a I can tho thats likely to be a couple weeks, procrastination is a favorite past-time
I'll be able to start shooting as soon as we have time to help my FFL repair the fence in his upper field....where the horses (Belgian Draft) go to hide when we shoot 🙂 Need to cut down some trees and run a new fence line for the electric fence.
Then we can shoot again MWA HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
