Hi guys,
I just picked up a 14-2 at the Ohio gun collectors show. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can about my pistol. I am not a complete newbie my Father owns a "Minty" 15-2VH that he bought new back in 1982. I have always admired his and when I ran across one today I couldnt pass it up.

The OGCA is one of the largest shows in the country and it is a real treat for collectors. I picked this 14-2 up with all the original goodies including the carton, original sleeve, blank warranty card, price list, brochure, the old style tool and gap guage. I have $350 invested I hope I did ok? I am trying to date it any ideas serial # 180XXX the price list says 1978.

You did excellent on that purchase price, especially since it's got all that paperwork to go with it & the gun itself looks like it's in fantastic shape.
The dated price sheet should be a good indicator as to it's approximate build date...probably at least within a 6-9 month widow, I would think. Since your dad is an original owner, we'd sure love it if he could submit his 15-2VH info to the DW Registry!

I will check the Pistol Pack on my fathers 15-2VH. I know he has barrell wrappers, and all paperwork included including original bill of sale etc..I will have to enter info for him it's all he can do to answer email! I will get some pics to post also.

Welcome to the Forum. I entered your 14-2 in the Serial Number Registry as a 1978, that will make it the earliest 14-2 we have, but the number seems about right for that year.
Looking forward to getting info on your Dad's 15-2 when you have a chance.
