Hello from Canada
I've posted about my DW years ago but thought you might like to see it if you missed it before. I've written a long, long, folksy provenance. Rather than clog up the forum I set up a simple web page
http://www.neonfeather.com/dw44mag
Sorry about the picture quality, I'm no photographer and the pictures on this forum are excellent.

Thanks for the nice welcome. I'm really enjoying roaming the site. Such excellent pictures, true eye candy.
I'll post my same pics in the DWF pictures section. I'd like to see this firearm in your archives.
I've thought of getting some studio pictures of the WidowMaker. Maybe I'll send my local guy some examples from here. Probably never photographed a firearm. (and sneak in a knife)
(Don't you love those scope mounts)

I looked at your article again, and two thoughts occur to me:
1) Since you're the original purchaser, I'd like to add this to our Serial Number Registry, if you're so inclined:
https://www.danwessonforum.com/?page_id=42
2) A '69 Z28 guy?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I'll gladly fill in the serial number information right away.
Z28s
Oh no, another old guy story.
I was back in the day, god forbid, a street racer. The 69 green camaro Z28 is my rebuild (see the roll cage, traction bars, tach top left, custom paint, plus blueprint & balance, headers, extra cam, 4.56 gearing, hd clutch, soft front, lifted rear suspension, rebuilt rockcrusher, and scattershield – a mean street machine). I shifted the 302 @ 7,600 rpm. I remember 7 miles to the gallon.
And the 68, the orange on the right, the first one, stock except suspension, I rolled and destroyed. The 70 ½ Z28, (another classic) top left belonged to Pool Hall Paul.
And those are my boys. Gary of the DW on the left. Sold the 69Z28 to buy a van, to haul and go to motocross - the other boy's thang. Put away your toys and embrace their passions.
ps
any idea of the demographic of your avg subscriber?

I think we're an "older" group, but it feels like we're getting more new, younger members all the time, many because they are receiving hand me down DW's or early inheritances . Also nice that we have a good group of Active Duty and recent service Military.
The 70 1/2 Z28 was a vastly under appreciated model, too many folks thought it got too much bigger and heavier, the LT-1 engine was a beast of a small block.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
