I owned a 15-2 with a couple of extra barrels back around '77 or '78 and loved it. Regret ever selling it.
Fast forward to 2011 - I'm now an old fa*t and getting back into handguns. Been looking for another DW for the last couple of months to add to my stable but really couldn't find anything at a price I wanted to pay.
Last week I stopped by a LGS just to see what they had and lo and behold they had a nice looking 15-2 8VH in the case he was selling for a guy on consignment. After checking it out, I told him to write it up - I wasn't leaving without it. For $299 I think I got a hell of a deal! It even included a canvas-looking holster with a DW logo on it.
It's a Monson - ser #289XXX so I assume it's around a 1978 vintage. The holster puzzles me - could it be a factory accessory? I haven't seen one like it on here or elsewhere on the web.
I'm very pleased with it and ran a box of shells through it last weekend. Very accurate just as I remember them to be.

Interesting holster...never saw one of those. I'd appreciate a good photo of the holster for our historical records.

This is the second DW holster to surface in about 10 days
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Nice gun and a really neat holster, and all for $299 was a great deal. It's a Bob Allen brand holster and either commissioned by DW or sold under license. Nice job!

Lots of us "old farts" (self included). That was a great deal, I have never seen nor even heard of the holster.. very very nice. Be sure to check out our own custom guys.. grips, barrels, and nice FO sights. >>>>>>>>>

Sorry, but DWAS has already hit!
I'd like to find a 6V BA for the 15-2 but they seem to be running about half of what I paid for the while rig.
Also have my eye on a DW 44 mag. just to make things interesting.
