Hi folks,
I just purched a sweet 357 Monsoon revolver with a six in barrel, on Gunbroker. It's not in my hands yet, but I cannot wait to get ahold of it. If it looks as good as the seller indicated I'll be a very happy camper.
I originally joined three years ago, and had a tough time with the DW that I had at the time. I think this one will be sweet.
FYI, I shoot 100% cast handloads ranging from 120 grain RF to 180 grain RF designs, with a nice 168 Keith thrown in too. I cast with mould from Lee, NOE, and semi-custom designs from Mountain Molds. Some are plain base some have gas checks. They help at high velocities in a Henry 357 Big Boy.
It'll be interesting to compate this DW to my Security Six and a new to me S&W model 28, both with six inch barrels. Can't wait for the revolver to be in my hands at the range.
I thought I'd say hi again since it's been so long, this is a really good forum with great info and very friendly. I'm already eying a EWK 12" twist barrel and a front fiber optic sight, but that will all come after putting a few hunred rounds through it.

Hi,
There will be plenty of pics as soon as it some in, probably next weekend since I'm out on business travel this week. I use lots of NRA lube from White Label since I've started to cast and shoot a little rifle. I had a 22-250 and was shooting the 55gr NOE at 2700FPS with just the NRA. I traded that and now have a really great shooting AR15. I haven't worked up and cast loads for it yet, but will be using the same 55 gr NOE mould.
I also use a homemade mix of 1 part each: parrafin, beeswax and vaseline. This has worked in the Henry 357 at 1900FPS (checked), but I haven't tried it yet over 2000fps. The beeswax came from Randy over at Castboolits.
