Hello
I have recently become interested in getting a DW. So, for the last 2 days i've been reading, maybe 3-4 hrs so far.
I dont' see a 'Suggestions' Forum so, here we go...
Has it been suggested before, that anything/posts SOLD in For Sale & Trade should just be deleted ?
It seems to be 99% SOLD, but who really knows as there may be a post a year old that wasn't.
I guess that would mean that we're all sleeping-on-the-job, I know 🙂
thx

WOW! What an insightful and provocative post. First time here, and clearly only here to buy something.. but telling us how to run our Forum?
For Sale or Trade topics are locked as quickly as possible, but left available for viewing on an informational basis for our Members. Our practice is for the Staff Member involved to note that the Topic is Locked.
"I guess that would mean that we're all sleeping-on-the-job, I know :)" I'm awake enough to say GOOD BYE!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Tom 44,Good suggestion, most sites never take the time to clean up old post that have been sold, never understood why.
By "clean up" do you mean: 1) Lock the Topic, or 2) Delete the Topic?
We generally lock For Sale or Trade Topics once there is a notification from the OP that the item has been sold. We don't "delete" much of anything that is not outright stupid, but I am all for cleaning out old business. Leaving a completed Sale topic might help other Members to understand the ongoing marketplace for Dan Wesson's.
Please understand that this suggestion comes from someone who posted in New Members, not to introduce himself, but to tell us how DWF needs to function. I am very interested to hear opinions from established Members regarding how DWF functions and is "managed".

I agree with Adam42 delete the topic, I cannot believe everyone being so hard on this. No one should be in fear of expressing an idea even if they are new to the Forum. There is definitely a wealth of knowledge here and I have been very fortunate to have gained much from it, but I am not sure I would ever want to state an opinion or make a suggestion.
Locked but not deleted...rwsem
