Hi guys!
I'm new to the forum and contemplating joining the great Dan Wesson family.
I work in computer games development and spend as much free time as possible at the range.
My latest purchase is this fine P226 in 9mm. Can't wait for winter to be over.
I also have this Hämmerli SP20 .22kal which shoots straighter than I'll ever be able to.
Hope you like the juicy pictures

Licensing is pretty hard. One year membership in a shooting club and three gold series. That's three 46 point (out of 50) series one-handed at 25yards.
After that you get a certificate stating you're an active shooter and you need a weapon to compete in your sport. You take that to the police and they check your record. If all is well you get your license.

Welcome Terpenoid!
Wow, licensing would eliminate me as I am not a very good shot, at least not yet. Practice time is scarce and the winter is here for sure.
Glad to have you aboard and hope you find your first of many Dan's. Thanks for the .
Are there any restrictions to the number of weapons you can own?

Welcome to the DWF. The Hammerli is a very unusual looking pistol, but my perception of all the Hammerli is that they are tremendously accurate, and very finely crafted.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome aboard. Hand out here long and DWAS will take hold. The Hammerli is really cool BTW.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

There is. You can have 20 points worth of weapons in your weapon safe. One rifle is 1 point. One pistol is 2 points, automatic weapons are 4 points.
Also if you have a 9mm and try to get another gun in the same calibre they usually ask you why you can't use the other 9mm for whatever you have planned.
So you usually have to specify that this gun is for IPSC Open and this will be used for PPC or whatever you plan to do with it.
All permits are 5 limited for years, after that you have to re-apply.

I assume that people do not participate in any private sales between individual gun owners? Because if the government found out, both people would probably be flogged.
No actually, you don't have to go through a licensed firearms dealer. Private sales are ok.

Hello there my fellow countryman. I live in Jönköping, where do you live?
Are you into IPSC? I am 🙂 I shoot SweDen Cup and a few other competitions with my Para-Ord .40. I did one with my Desert Eagle .44mag as well 😀 search Youtube for IPSC Desert Eagle if you want to see it 😉
Of course you want a DW. I bought two at Auktionsverkets auction in june 2009. If the DE was a bad choice for IPSC a .445 Supermag would be far worse. Buy one! But use it for magnumfält or silhouette!

Hi Karl.
Me and Axel on this forum are both from Uppsala, shooting for F16Pistol. The club shoots Precision, Mil-Snabbmatch and Fält. However we have a club at the same shooting range doing IPSC. The plan is to start shooting it this summer.
I'm also really excited about IPSC rifle starting up in Sweden. Who knows maybe we'll even have three gun as a sport here soon. 🙂
I did however decide to skip on the DW AC since the price was a little steep. I think my next purchase with be either a Sig X-five or an AR-15.
