I have been shooting Dan Wesson revolvers for about 35 years. Started shooting IHMSA in the middle 1980's with a 357 and then bought a 44 Mag. Made the mistake of selling the 44 when I bought a 445. The 44 was a far better gun. Since then I have added a 22, 32 Mag, 41 mag and a 375. The 41 is my favorite. I have taken two mule deer with that gun and have learned to love the caliber. I now have three other 41's, but not Dan Wessons.

Funny that even though you liked the 44 over the 445, yet you chose the 445 as part of your screen name. Not a biggie, it just caught me a little funny.
I have three of the big ones you are talking about, a great looking .44 with "Bear" as part of it's serial number (a great conversation name)...you can kinda make it out in the pic.

And my absolute favorite to shoot of these three, is my 375SM! I truly LOVE this gun! I like big boomers in handguns, and this one brings the best to the table. It hits really hard, yet the recoil is more manageable than the other two larger caliber boomers. This gun has had trigger work prior to coming to me, so that may very well be part of why I love this gun so much.
