howdy, glad to be on the forum finally. rnMy first 357 was a Taurus 66, 4in. Blue. Stupidly, I didn’t keep it.rnnext came a really nice Colt Python 6in. Blue. Payed $450, and stupidly didn’t keep it either.rnThen I traded a xd40 I didn’t really like for a D.W 15-2 blue 6in. Vh and all is right with the world. I just love it, I can’t explain, but it’s my favorite revolver. ,Is it crazy to like the D.W more than a Python? I think not, since I’m not a collector, and like shooting over looking at gun prices. Anyway, here’s the ‘tack hammer’ in all its glory.
ps. Was I stupid to not buy a D.W 44 blue for $850 ?

Believe it or not, your reaction to the DW revolver is common to many of us. Mine also came from my first DW, a blue 44. $850 is not a bad price in today's market, assuming it is in good condition. There are more of them out there, but prices are going up.
Watch out for DWAS, otherwise known as Dan Wesson Acquisition Syndrome. there is no cure, but lack of funds will put it into remission for a period of time.
