Hi, I'm new and am seeking some advice. I have had my Dan Wesson since about 1981 and have come to a place in my life that I just may want to sell it and find something a bit lighter in caliber and kick. (Retirement and all I get is my social.)
I doubt seriously that I have shot more then 500 rounds through it, and it hits what ever I've aimed it at.
Serial number starts with 00 and that's all I feel safe saying. Don't want to break any rules.
Any ideas on probable value?
The first 500 have a dove grey coating. They came in a wood presentation box. The regular production up to 10,000 had the shorter hammer spur but the same otherwise as the later guns. You may have one of the first 10,000. Stainless were introduced about 1981 and have the longer hammer spur. Prices have risen recently. Depending on condition and accessories the value can range from 600 to 1100. The shorter hammer spur guns get a little less than the later model. Stainless get a little more.
