Another new guy here! I just aquired a blued, heavy vented 32mag with a 8 inch barrel, 6 inch barrel, wood grip, pachmeyer grip, tool, and spacing gauge. This revolver seems to have been used very little. The blueing shows no wear and is very "blue".
Now, here's my question. I've looked at many of the forum posts concerning models. This one doesn't show a model number, just serial # F0012XX and Monson, Mass. I haven't seen any posts where a DW serial number starts with a "F".
What model do I have?

Welcome to the place that is all about DWs. 32 mags are coveted by us DW guys as they are not common. Serial numbers are all over the place on DWs but we have found some patterns. At one time DW assigned letters to correspond to a caliber. The letter F was on 32 mags during the Monson era and on some 44s of the Norwich era. Your model will be a model 32. Oh and BTW we love pictures.

Actually, it's a long story. I bought it about 10 years ago and gave it to my son. He never fired it. Couple weeks ago he was telling me he wanted to buy a semi-auto 9mm and I had several so I traded him for the DW back.
I will post some pictures as soon as I get back home and have access to my digital camera. My cell phone camera wouldn't do it justice!
I'm not a gun collector, just a user, so after I post some pics I would be interested in selling it. Have no idea what it's worth (I do know what I paid for it) so will probably consider auctioning.

Where is this Add Files button? All I see is: Upload Attachments - View Existing Image Uploads - View Existing Media Uploads - View Existing File Uploads
I've tried them all!!!??????
If I try "Upload Attachments" it gives me a box that says "Select Files" but it won't let me enter anything. There's just a bunch of goofy Smileys!!
There is the "Add Files" button at the very bottom, but you have to have something in the "Select Files" area first.

I recently acquired a model 15 .357 blued, 6' barrel with wooden grips in excellent condition. I bought it in a gun shop but there was no paperwork. However, the serial number would indicate in comparison to the file on this site, that it was manufactured 1979/80. An excellent gun

Hmm, may be the type of browser you're using or maybe the version. Do you have a compatibility view tool in your address box; looks like a torn piece of paper. Worst case, you can email them to me and I'll post for you, but that doesn't fix the 'how to', huh?

I'm not much help on this, I use Photobucket.
Advantages include:
-Free
-Very big and well established
-Good editing tools
-Cloud based, easy to access from multiple locations and devices, especially Smartphones
-Very simple to post on DWF. Copy the link in Photobucket, click on the Image icon in DWF, paste the link, select "middle" position, and do any size editing
The downside is that if you delete an item on Photobucket, it will no longer appear in any location that you posted it. There have been problems in the past with free photo hosting services going out of business and people losing all their pictures and link. Photobucket seems very well established, and all my important photos upload through my computer.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
