Here in Ohio the big cities Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo
enacted a 10 rnd mag limit after the Clinton ban expired.
They quietly snuck this in so slick, just found this out a year
ago when I was pricing around for some Hi Caps and some
sellers were restricting sales to some OH. cities and some just
won't ship Hi Caps no matter what city your in.

There is no "preban" exemption. Legally owned prior to the ban must be turned in according to the wording
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

There is a very extensive discussion of this on the New England Hometown Forum at ARfcom. Although passage seems unlikely, everyone is pretty on edge about this. There is a huge controversy in CT surrounding additional taxes and fees on everything under the sun, and the concern is that something like this could sneak through under the radar.
One guy made the very good point that the wording of this would put the 10 round limit on armed security/armored car/plainclothes security because they are not sworn officers.
This is also not a handgun limitation, includes long guns too.

In fact, here's my email:

effective?

This Bill did not make it out of Committee, today was the deadline. Pretty much done for this year it seems. I can tell you that there was a very concerted effort mounted through CCDL (Connecticut Citizens Defense League) and most significantly a grass roots effort communicated through the New England Hometown Forum of AR15.com.The posts and discussion there went to 33 pages, and many members were there to testify at the hearing, many more contacted legislators. Responses posted from many legislators showed that this effort educated many of them about magazine capacity questions and Second Amendment rights.
A good job, done right.
