Steve, it's time to get out....http://www.gunnews.com/connecticut-now-requires-ammunition-certificate/

Move to RI where they just autioned off an AR to raise money for the GOP.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Definitely unconstitutional! They're requiring a background check to buy ammo, fantastic! Can you sense the sarcasm in that last sentence?

technically it is the bullet that kills. Why aren't gun law's in every state being challenged in court?  Keep and bare, NOT be infringed. sounds pretty clear to me. Those that would infringe are actually enemies of America (you know, the foriegn or domestic type all our politicians swear to protect us from.)

Here's the harsh, and realistic response:

I have lived in CT for over 20 years, I KNOW the law and the political climate. If any of this is a surprise to any Connecticut shooter, they are STUPID, and thousands of them are.

I have no sympathy for any CT shooter/hunter/gun owner who did not see this coming.

I was prepared to deal with (as best I could) intrusive, draconian laws. I still own every gun I owned before these laws, there are some complications that I am dealing with that the "sheeple" can't. I will continue to shoot and be prepared to defend my family and friends.

EDIT to add: my nonshooting wife decided to (successfully) protect her rights and has  just today secured her Permit to Carry Pistols and Revolvers.

She does not plan to ever  carry  gun, BUT now she cannot ever be told she can't.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve,  +1 for you. We have the Constitution to hopefully protect us. Unfortunatly that CAN be changed if we are not protecting our rights in the court and the court of public opinion. I suggest we infect a liberal friend with DWAS by taking them shooting. You know to hold one is to want one and to own one is to want another. Old Dog.

If only common sense prevailed with more citizens in your state, as it does in your household!

In this regard, I'm a lucky SOB!  Born in AZ, moved to UT as a kid, but neither state would give me grief regarding gun laws today.cool

Ct went down the pipes this year. As for the people who started complaining about the ammo cert requirements all I can is too bad. Where were these guys went the hearings went on in Hartford?

Welcome Neighbor. Since the permit process for ammunition became active, there's more ammo available in CT, .22 lr is still pretty tough, but it can sometimes be found.
