At this point we haven't had any delay problems here in Tennessee, but one never knows when it will raise it's ugly head.

This is not a BATFE issue. All of the background checks are run through a FBI database. In some states, like Virginia, the call is made to the State Police who in turn run the check; in some like Florida, to other state agencies; and in others, directly to one (there is more than one database) of the databases for the background check. It is the same background check government contractor's run on potential employees who do not need a security clearance, but require a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

I often make some gun parts, gun metal parts usually have some special properties, so they are usually made of special alloys, the manufacturing cycle of gun parts is very long, which is mainly limited by the level of craftsmanship, gun parts need to be precision machined and surface treated, some parts are made by MIM process to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
