I must be clueless (no big 
) because I was not aware of an existing tax on gun or ammunition purchases. I guess this has always been a well hidden tax that I never knew I was paying when I made those purchases.
Since I can deduct sales tax and property tax from the other taxes I pay, should I have been keeping track of these taxes as well?
Fortunately, I don't think these apply to reloading components, so I will only be taxed on the .22 lr I buy.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

It was labeled "The Sportsmans Tax" for a long time. Remember Clinton robbed that fund and
gave a lot of it to the Anti Gun quacks ? This scare has been across the boards ever since
Otrader got elected the first time. " He's gonna price ammo and guns outa sight, you won't be
able to afford to own a gun...." Our voices have been heard in the last six months, unless there
is a Republican in the House that has a death wish or something I don't think you will see them
even consider it.
On the other hand O'dud has had the ball stripped away from him so much lately he has
become (like he wasn't already 
) an arrogant lil cry baby, so expect him to "leave his mark"
before he closes the door on his way out. That I'm sure of....
