For those who reload and in general shoot. Has anyone heard about new regulations getting ready to drop on ammo being completely lead-free? All the ammo manufactures now make lead free bullets, but what about primers? From what I can find, lead free primers are only good for about 6 years. You can research Lead free 5.7 ammo or a search on lead free primer life expectancy.
I know I have shot ammo from WWII several years back and it went bang nicely. Have shot plenty of 20+ year old surplus ammo regularly and had no problems. But now, your ammo may have a shelf life. The Feds are trying to save you from lead poisoning. Or not.
Just a heads up on how regulation can bypass legislation. No need to ban things outright. Just make the world safe for people who shoot...... Now might be a good time to stock up on leaded ammo and primers.
