In case you don't know how contact some folks to express your opinions:

Contact the President

http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

Contact your Representative (you need your 9 digt ZIP for this one)

https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

It may seem pointless to express your opinion to some of these folks, but it is our Right, Privilege, and RESPONSIBILITY to do so. If we fail to take these most basic steps, we haven't done everything we can.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Bullseye Steve!!

I just wrote my congressman today to push him to support second amendment rights and to register my desire to fight against this "bail out mania".

We may be a small (comparatively) group here, but we should all be a loud voice to our government.  Thank you for a great post!

The YouTube clip that LandPanther posted about gun rights in England should be incentive enough for all of us.

Opinions on the "bailout mania", the gun laws that are being attempted & a host of other things currently going on, definitely need to be voiced by as many of us "little people" as possible!  This may be a small group, but this stuff is also being talked about on pretty much all other forums I'm on...every little bit helps.Yell

Thanks for the links!Laugh

Here in Virginia we have a really good and active organization called the Virginia Citizens Defense League.  If you live in Virginia I would highly recommend joining this group.  They send out updates on legislation and give you links to the send your representatives emails, etc.

I think it's important to remember to remain professional and courteous when emailing our representatives.  I know I personally would love to go off at times but this would just add to fueling the anti-2nd groups position.

Steve forwarded me a link to a relatively new site called RIGHTtoKeepAndBearArms.com. I looked at it briefly this morning but wanted to pass it on to you.  I have also added it under the RTKBA links to the left.

I certainly don't have any issue with the posting of Pro 2nd Amendment links and information.

The thing that caught my attention about this site is that the admins/mods of many forums are getting on board with this (like Jody), sort of multiplying our reach. It's OK to be truthful and passionate about our feelings, but I agree that we need to do that in ways that don't fuel the rhetoric. What we have to say sometimes gets lost in how we say it.

edit: to fix typos
