I'm sure you guys noticed that Magpul is living up to it's word. They are pulling out of gun unfriendly CO and moving manufacturing and distribution to WY while the HQ is moving to TX.  Texas flag

Good for them!

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Lots of gun related dealers thinking about pulling out of CO.  Hard to believe it was a gun loving state 5 years ago and now I rarely buy/sell in the state.

It is hard to believe. A couple of guys I know here in TX cancelled a very pricey hunting trip to CO. I think they went to WY or MT instead. Truly sad.

There was a push by many organizations to boycott any and all CO 2nd amendment related industries... I've heard of a lot of hunting trips cancelled.

The  anti gun crowd is getting very nasty. If you talk to an individual  they drop all pretense and admit it is ALL guns that are bad, that no one should have them. All the discussion about mag size,  assault rifles, background checks, etc . is just a means to their ends. They are winning. The education system starts indoctrinating them in kindergarden. We must purge the political class at all levels. They are easy to spot . First they tell you they support hunting rights and traditions. Those folks ( ala Joe Manchin) are the most dangerous. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO ABOUT HUNTING. Sorry, I get carried away. I think I have to go buy another gun. Thursday I pick up a NEF R73 .32 H&R mag. $200. Any one know about them?  It will calm me down lol.

The Anti crowd has always been nasty, lately they have become more effective, especially in my home state. The interesting thing is that as the Dec 31 deadline approached and passed, the great clueless mass of gun owners here are suddenly understanding that they are felons. There have already been arrests for magazine violations (more than 10 in the mag), AND rejection letters to people that attempted to register an "Assault Weapon" after midnight 12/31/13.

FYI-I altered a Browning Buckmark with a threaded barrel to make it a "not" Assault Weapon, and any centerfire rifle even remotely resembling an AR is as well.

Any magazine over 10 rounds capacity had to be "declared" to the state, with a notarized statement.

So our choices in CT as of any time after midnight 12/31/13 for "Assault Weapons" and magazines +10 capacity are:

Send out of state

Make permanently inoperable

Surrender to the state

Hide them and hope you never get caught

Coming sooner or later to you too

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
