Many articles posted on shooting forums. I rarely go to Starbucks, maybe I need to rethink that.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Elliot Fineman is an idiot and sadly he will remain an idiot. We got his sole mate in my subdivision. This lady is anti gun to the core. Last summer David had a family of skunks move into his yard. David had a 9mm solution. Anti gun lady through a fit. Five days later a skunk moved in under her deck. She had the nerve to approach David to ask him to get rid of the skunk but not to bring a gun into her yard. David told her to reason with it. There idiots. R S

How would a business know if a person were carrying concealed? You can put up a sign that says 'no guns' but unless the gun is visable, you don't know who is carrying. If you are carrying and a business knows it, they can ask you to leave and you must or you are considered tresspassing. I have never, ever seen any non-LEO open carry anywhere except hunting or the shooting range. This groups' argument is so stupid its almost funny. Do they really think that a thug or criminal will for one second care if Starbucks doesn't want people carrying guns? This also brings up a point, does this group want Starbucks to stop serving COPS too?
Personally, I have never gone to a Starbucks and don't plan to. Do they have signs up that say 'welcome gunners' or something? For that matter, I don't care if they go out of business. Why does this group feel that Starbucks is the place to make their stand on gun control?

Usually it takes someone with good observation skills, something 99% of the sheepeople don't have.
In Texas, if a store owner doesn't want concealed gun carriers to enter, they must post the following:
"PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.06, PENAL CODE (TRESPASS BY HOLDER OF A LICENSE TO CARRY A CONCEALED HANDGUN) A PERSON LICENSED UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE (CONCEALED HANDGUN LAW), MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A CONCEALED HANDGUN."
"CONFORME A LA SECCIÓN 30.06 DEL CÔDIGO PENAL (TRASPASAR PORTANDO ARMAS DE FUEGO) PERSONAS CON LICENCIA BAJO DEL SUB-CAPITULO H, CAPITULO 411, CODIGO DE GOBIERNO (LEY DE PORTAR ARMAS), NO DEBEN ENTRAR A ESTA PROPIEDAD PORTANDO UN ARMA DE FUEGO."
Penal Code Section 30.06(c)(3)(B) further states that a sign must meet the following requirements:
- includes the language described by Paragraph (A) in both English and Spanish;
- appears in contrasting colors with block letters at least one inch in height; and
- is displayed in a conspicuous manner clearly visible to the public.

I really hate how the second ammendment can be interpreted so many ways by different states/local governments. I PA, you can sit at the bar with a gun in your posession, but you aren't supposed to drink while carrying.
Unrelated but illustrative of how bizzarely laws are being interperted is the following:
Recently in my area, a local watering hole that has a substantial business selling food, was appealing a Liquor Control Board ruleing to suspend their license. The infraction; a person under 18 walked thru a smoking section and was not prevented by the management! I thought they were going to say he was served a drink, but NOPE, he walked thru a smoking section.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I have been told by a lawyer that if a business post a sign stating no firearms inside their property that they assume some responsibly for you safety. I don't know if this is true as I have only heard it from one person. It makes sense so it is most likely false. R S
I think you may be right on that, it had something to do with when
Wal-Mart had their no gun signs up and then some druggie came
in and robbed the phramacy. I believe a bystandard woman and child
were injured and the husband sued because he could not protect his family.
I never did hear what happened with the case but did notice Wally world
did pull their signs within a year, atleast here in OH they did.

The point with Starbucks is that they have not caved in to pressure from these groups to post "No Firearms" signage. Starbucks position is that whatever any customer is allowed to do under law (open carry, concealed carry) that Starbucks will not invoke their legal right as a property owner to not allow firearms
Many shopping malls are "posted", for example
If you carry concealed, and inadvertently expose or "print", in some states you are in violation because you are no longer concealed. This was long held to be true in CT, however the Permit is to "Carry", not "Concealed Carry".
And their coffee is pretty good, but expensive.
