OK, it's really just a couple of my buddies.
We were hanging out yesterday, thought I'd put up some pictures. This guy is from Waco, TX - pretty good guitar player...:
This guy is from New York:
Seemed like a good guy to hang out with...had a lot to say...
Ran into a wild hog too, good thing nobody was packin' a Supermag...
Sign says "Putting lipstick on a stimuls plan..."
A good time was had by all.

You probably saw Ted on the Glenn Beck show, so no need to recount what he said - but he has it exactly right - no BS from Ted!
That picture was real early in the day when Ted was doing his sound check. After the check he grabbed the mike and was just talking to the crowd - it was great!
Among other things, he said something along the lines of: I love Texas - we have more deer per capita, more mexican food per capita and more GUNS per capita!! I'm not from here, but got here as quick as I could...
Being originally from Detroit (as y'all know) he said if you want to see the negative impact of liberal policy, just go to Detroit: it's been destroyed. -that's a paraphrase, he was much more colorful.
Charger - yeah, it was a beautiful day. Clear with an occasional breeze, 80ish degrees. It actually was pretty hot at times. About 15 minutes before the end of the Beck show we had to get out of the crowd (no easy chore) and find some shade - we were cooked!
There was a HUGE amount of people there. The estimate was 15,000 and it was all of that. Everybody was polite, calm, focused and really unhappy with the direction of government. A lot of folks were pushing for an Audit of the Fed and there were many Ron Paul supporters.

Excellent report Dusty.
I was stranded at work all day but you relayed the info so I felt like I was there...almost. Terrible Ted definitely doesn't sugar-coat his responses for concern of sounding harsh- you gotta love that guy. There is something appealing about someone who doesn't care about being pollitically correct.
It would have been a nice day for playing hookey and enjoying the festivities.
Thanks for keeping me in touch with whats happening in the real world.

I agree. Could you imagine how cool it would be if someone like that got into the President's seat? There would be appalled people practically fainting left & right, on an hourly basis! LOL! But things would sure get straightened out in a hurry.

Yep, definately walked to the beat of his own drummer. That was one of the things I liked most about him. Still do!!
I've followed Ted since the early days when he'd play at the "Den" in Saginaw, MI with the Amboy Dukes. He never would have recorded "Journey to the Center of the Mind" if his band mates hadn't "convinced" him it "WASN'T" a drug song (when it really was). The Wack Master can shot you down as easily with bow as with his wit! Hey, you have room for me in TX when this whole place falls apart?
Been gone for awhile, took a group of 50 to the Creation Museum in KY. It's a must see if you're ever in Petersburg/Hebron KY area. My wife and the rest on the tour remarked how everyone there (guests/staff) was patient in line, polite, helpful. Isn't it amazing how great it is to be with good people? People who care about God/Country/Family? Wish the politicians were more like that...Keep Ron in office by the way, I'm thinking he's one of the only sane ones in Washington.

Amboy Dukes! My sister's still got the 45.
Ol' Ron Paul doesn't make a great first impression, but you are right about him. He is incredibly smart, versed on the issues and has a very firm constitutional approach to the issues and KNOWS where this country has been taken astray.
Plenty o' room in Texas, shooter!! (Just no topography!)

Hey 357shooter…
I live in Hebron Kentucky. The museum is only a few miles from my house.
Been there? Great visit and nice weather last weekend! Tea Party in Madison (Mad-Town) was cold. Had a great crowd of about 8,000. Didn't make too much news here though. I wonder why?

357- We've been some of the same places. I remember seeing Bob Seger (The Bob Seger System) as a bar band. Admittedly some BIG bars, but I used to be a BIG bar guy. As I recall, Ted was the Motor City Madman?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Sounds like it. "Two plus Two" was on my mind when you brought up The Bob Seger System. Ann Arbor product if I remember right. Lots of water under the bridge since then! Tried to see The MC5 at a bar in Flint, hitched it from Saginaw, and it was SRO, couldn't even get to the door. Which was probably good, I'd be more hard of hearing than I am! Ever see Dick Wagner and The Frost? Boy, am I "Off Topic" sorry!

The MC5- If you look at their album cover (taken at a concert in the old Grandee Ballroom in Detroit), it's a blurry photo of the crowd, but not so blurry that our football coach couldn't make out that about half the people in the photo were wearing North Farmington HS Varsity letter jackets (Farmington, MI 1969). He never did find out exactly who was there, but not for lack of trying
