Just recieved the following from the VCDL...
I just got word that there may be an attempt to slip a magazine ban similar to
the one proposed by anti-gun Congresswoman Caroline McCarthy into a normally
benign Federal Aviation Administration bill using an amendment in the U.S.
Senate.They can't really "sneak" it on without a vote on the amendment
and therein lies our defense against it.I contacted Senator Warner's and
Senator Webb's office and they confirmed that they have gotten phone calls on
this issue this morning from concerned constituents. They say nothing is on the
docket for *today* and they can't yet confirm the validity of the rumor, but
they are working on doing so.Either way, we need to play this safe and
flood both offices with calls letting both Senator Warner and Senator Webb know
that magazine bans are not acceptable and to please oppose any effort to impose

1st A does not discuss the magazine capacity. You can own the gun, others get to decide on the accessories.
Fortunately:
1) I have 6 hicap mags for my only 9mm
2) Half a dozengood mags for my 1911
3) Local shop has a good deal on P-Mags for my AR, and they can't possibly pass a ban before tomorrow
4) Revolvers don't have magazines 
Seriously, every attempt like this needs to be taken seriously and attacked head-on. If you don't react the first time you see a cockroach, pretty soon you have a big problem.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

For sure! We've only got one Utah congressman who doesn't see entirely eye-to-eye with the pro gun crowd, the rest usually try to do their roach squashing rather quickly. Still, it won't hurt to fire off a few e-mails today.

BTW-My reference to cockroaches was NOT intended to refer to the problem of magazine bans, it referred INTENTIONALLY to the originator(s) of the problem.
Cockroaches bring disease! If you treat the disease, but don't deal with the cockroaches, you just get sick again. Once you deal with the problem, the disease goes away.
Shine a bright light into the corners and the dark places, and they run for cover.
