I built my first custom AR last year and had it Cerakoted a little different - no "black gun" in this house.  😉  Anyways, I liked how it turned out so I decided to eventually have one of my cheaper 1911s Cerakpted to match.  Now that I see them together I am quite happy with the decision to have these customized exactly the way that I envisioned.

Very nice- what brake is that on the AR?

Thank you.  The AR is a complete custom build, including the lower with a custom serial number.  The brake is a Phase 5 FATman brake.  It recesses the barrel and can be used on a bull barrel.  http://phase5wsi.com/fatman-hex-brake-5.56-.223-1-2-x-28-tpi.html

I went to see a machinist friend of mine today and he made quick work of milling out a few of my mags. Now I have the look I was hoping for when I started the project.

If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
