Here's one that I think CZ/Colt did right - it's a large-frame .44 mag, ported barrel, unfluted cylinder, factory drilled/tapped and high-polish SS. I added the factory wood grips. It's a very robust and precisely manufactured revolver. There were others in another thread that were very adverse to the locks on S&W's, and the line of Colt revolvers might be a nice option if you're looking for something outside of the DW guns. They're all pretty nice guns.....Pythons, King Cobras in .22 and .357, Anacondas, Kodiaks, Grizzlys.

Very nice! That's what I was talking about! these newer guns do have a value in the technology that is coming out on the newer colts and S&W's and even Taurus have compensated barrels, weights that can be adjusted and better sights all on new revolvers. They are making a comeback. This Kodiak is beautiful! I want one of them! It's on my list but think I will wait a few years and let the prices come down on them like the Pythons which are now coming down on the used market. I agree not buying them as a collector gun but a cool gun to shoot! I know the action on this one I just got is so good! I'm trying to get this cool blue grip for mine but the seller is out and not back until the end of the month. I hope he still has them when he gets back he had them in black and blue!

Stan - when you get one why don't you go to the OEM grip manufacturer for Colt - they have blue G10 grips. That way you keep it in line with original Colt.

Oh, and the prices on anything are not coming down. They are going up and I'm seeing inventories depleted now to avoid the price increases we're about to see soon. If you're thinking of buying anything, don't wait. Even the guns CZ/Colt is assembling here surely use foreign-sourced parts and a good chance the steel is coming from offshore as well. Prices on everything are going to go up.
