Loading photos for our DWF calendar contest, I thought I would place this entry where it belongs. One of my favorite revolvers. Colt Trooper MK lll.

If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

The Hogue grips really made a big difference on this revolver. I’ve never had a gun balance so perfectly in my hand. Absolute stellar shooter as well. Because of the Colt grip frame the Hogue grip is a tad ‘thicker’ than the DW equivalent. Fits me perfectly.

Well, at least those Hogue grips were the best feeling I had experienced up to that time. In actual shooting the flare at the bottom of the grip would dig into my left hand shooting magnums. I spied these on eBay, and they are two piece grips that have an even more comfortable feel especially when shooting stout magnum loads. Not bad looking either!

Sorry for the crazy sideways upload of this photo, but now you see why I love these new grips so much. As good a group as I ever shot with either of my Dan Wessons. 7 yards offhand, GECO 158 gr FMJ .357 Magnum, 5 shots.

Hmm, maybe not quite a DW after all. I forgot about this group from my 15-1. Same distance.2F69E200-572B-4113-8834-897725974E17.jpegImage Enlarger
