I have been looking for a while for a High Standard Porkchop but everyone I have seen in the last 6 months was in bad shape. This one popped up 6 days ago and the guy had it listed on Gunbroker only under High Standard so the regular Dan Wesson guys did not see it or passed. Either way It was one of the nicest ones I have seen. THe bluing still looks new and got it for $550 I was hoping for a bit lower but still a good deal. It was $640 after tax, shipping and CC Fees. Cross another one off the list. Screenshot-2023-12-16-9.23.09-AM.pngImage Enlarger

Very nice. They are the exact same gun as a DW 15-1. High Standard never had extra barrel assemblies even though they were catalogued. If you use 15-1 BAs they will shoot to point of aim.

Beautiful Revolver. I feel you got a decent deal there with the condition it's in.

You made a very good buy on this one! 15-1 barrel assemblies are not plentiful, but with patience you will eventually be able to acquire some. In the meantime EWK does still have the adapter to use non pork chop BA’s on this gun. Possibilities are endless. This is my 15-1 fitted with an early standard BA along with new old stock DW silhouette sights.IMG_1375.jpegImage Enlarger

That's some impressive detail!  How did you come across those details?

Well it's nice to have a High Standard expert here. As you might by now know I have two loves Dan Wessons & high Standards! Most are revolvers. I bought my first High Standards when I got involved in looking for the Western Auto guns which are very rare. I remember going to the local Western Auto here in Phoenix and then many years later I was working in Lordsburg NM and there was still a Western Auto there in 2014. Anyway I started collecting Western Auto  guns and then got in to the High standard 22 9 shot guns and of course had the cross over with Dan Wessons and I loved the loot of the Sentinel mark's as they looked like a Python. Anyway I have a pretty good collection of the Sentinel Mark series a 4 inch a 3 inch and the 2 inch barrels and also the older sentinel 22 LR VS the mags. I know they switched to a steel frame once the Mark series came in with the bigger ammo and the other thing I liked was the way you could swap out cylinders and shoot the 22LR & 22 Mags. Also the later stories of the Titan High Standard Mitchell (I have one Titan lll) and a 1911 Mitchell Mauser which is a Bob Serva Pointman! Nice to have you here! By the way the crown jewel is my High Standard Crusader 8 inch engraved guns with matching serial numbers! I have been trying to find more of the Dan Wesson High Standard Sentinel Mark lll's but finding them in as good condition as this one is very hard! I wanted to find just a 4 & 6 inch barrel to make a PAC but that dream will be hard to find. I found one last month on proxibid but fell asleep and it got away! It was still in the original box too! I don;t like over paying for these guns either a High Standard Sentinel Mark lll in excellent shape no more that $550 Seems like they are now going for more than a regular Dan Wesson model 15 pork chop!IMG_5782.JPGImage Enlarger
