Yes, I'm the one who was dumb enough to buy one of these things.
It's really beautifully made. The springs are so strong that it is actually muchharder to cycle the slide than my .44 Magnum Desert Eagle.
Looking forward to it's first range workout.
As a side note, since anything larger than 60 caliber is considered a WMD and therefore illegal in this country, I'm surprised we can buy this here because it's effectively 90 caliber.

That is genuinely FRIGHTENING!
Is it THIS?
As I recall, there were questions about it being an NFA item because it fired more than one round per trigger pull?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

How does it handle? I personally think it looks pretty cool, but seems like the side by side triggers be tough to maneuver? I bet those dbl rounds make a serious flippin hole tho'..

Yes, Steve, It is the Arsenal 2011 AF-1.
It's very heavy at 4lbs. but seems heavier because it's physically smaller than a DW 445SM. Pretty much not an option for concealed carry, IMHO.
As far as handling goes, the side-by triggers are no issue; when you squeeze one trigger, you've squeezed them both. There is no such thing as shooting the barrels separately as some early reports predicted. The one thing that is a bit unusual about the handling is the grip safety which is fairly flat from side-to-side, not rounded which means you have to be certain to engage it. I'm assuming this is because a rounded grip safety would increase the grip radius which is already so large that only people with fairly large hands can grasp it. Finally, the trigger has a really nice feel to it.
The bullets will not go into the same hole. As a matter of fact they separate; so at 15 yards the holes are about 2 inches apart. They included a sample target fired at 12 yards and the holes measure about 1-7/8ths apart. This is because the muzzle blasts and thereafter the displacement waves from each bullet affects the other. I've been told that it is very important not to swap parts from side to side. Apparently one barrel discharges a millisecond after the other to minimize the affect of the first bullet's muzzle blast on the second bullet. That's a feeling that could be unusual.
Muzzle blast and recoil could be prodigious.
Let's face it; this is not a gun that will be shot often. It's pretty much a collector's item with a dash of "let's go to the range and have some crazy fun" thrown in. After it's first range visit, we'll take it to the range for the kids to experience and/or for another close relative or friend.

Zoommb,You keep buying wild stuff like that and you just might have to bring your toys East for a PA Range Day.
Definitely give us a report after you fire that.
Hopefully, after my wife retires in a year and a half, we will be able to do that kind of thing.

Sorry photohause; no pics or videos allowed at any of the ranges around here. I will, however, get out my best camera (Nikon D3x) and take some more pics as soon as things slow down here.
The fit and finish on this gun is quite phenomenal, putting my Dan's and Wilson Combat guns in second place. One of the unusual things about this gun is that everything is double except -- there is no ambi-safety or mag release. Go figure.
Unfortunately, due to extensive family obligations, we will not be able to get to the range for about 2 weeks.

Well, Cecil, I am not getting that reaction because it was her idea to order it. It is supposed to cover anniversary, birthday and Christmas. We didn't expect it to come as soon as it did. She now says it was a really stupid decision, but she grins when she says it. And she will definitely shoot it...once.

Hey brother, I found a long time ago...If momma is happy...everybody is happy.. Truthfully mine would only be freaka-sidal if I did'nt at least discuss with her first..probably so she'd have the opportunity to say " I told ya so" later.
It is a really sweet pistol.. I would certainly say "darlin' you made me the happiest man in the world." "Again" lol
