I bought this baby in 1984 and love the pre-rail look ... excellent shooter too. Shown with my Randall #5 Camp & Trail.

Nice knife/gun combo. My 226 has fired @6000 rounds mostly Federal Champion 115 grain FMJ with zero malfunctions. Once I got my grip right and got used to the correct sight picture I could really appreciate how fine a gun it is. I used to shoot it low but centered. It turned out to be my grip was wrong.

Gotta love the Sigs! I'm going to purchase a P365 SAS as soon as I get an opportunity.

Stonebuster, is your Sig a Legion model?

The last auto-loader I purchased was a CZ SP-01 Phantom. Great gun. I hate the sights though, so am looking to replace them asap.

Yes, it's a P226 9mm Legion DA/SA. It was my first semi auto and I got it about 4 1/2 years ago. As soon as I felt it in my hand at the LGS, I knew I would leave with it.

Exactly what I thought when I bought mine.

Those are some nice guns, fellas.  In my case, one semi auto i've enjoyed shooting and the only one I own is this '94 Sphinx 2000 DA/SA with a .40cal conversion kit. It's tight and solid as a rock. Fun to shoot but I much prefer a fine revolver and it's relative simplicity.  Will take an MR73, 715,744, Python or Korth over it any day. Just an old fool.

Wow, Stinger! What a pristine looking Randall!

Is that a Micarta handle on it?

Yes, Black Micarta was an upgrade option at the time. I ordered a couple custom knives from them in January 1989 and picked them up at the Orlando facility in October 1990. This one also has; a Nickel Silver Single Hilt, special 1% high carbon stainless steel, Thumb Notches on top of blade (in front of hilt) and a Wrist Thong.

A buddy had one kinda like yours. He loved the thing and took forever honing and pampering it. His wife practically gave away all such stuff after he died.

A buddy of mine says; "When I'm gone, I sure hope my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them" !

Oh man, that's funny!

And when she finds my five 715's she'll know it wasn't "the same old gun" every time.

Rex, I've got the same thing going on with my two model 10s. My wife thinks there's just one but has seen both...just not at the same time.

Hehe....wives are ok, but in small doses and never to be argued with. Once I got that right it's been peaceful and almost pleasant.

I got this back in the 80's, too. I shoot it like it was made for me!. I had the coating put on and did a short trigger return and put this sights on...it is the cat's a$$.

If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

Great photos of a fine looking vintage Sig. Trigger mod, coating and sights...it was made for you.
