Anybody here have a Para Warthog -- found one for $450 and thought about picking it up.SHOOT
I had one (used to me) briefly, several years ago. A couple hundred rounds in it seized and locked up completely. Para determined that it was a frame failure and rebuilt it on a new frame. I sold it about six months later, .45 ACP just seemed to be more than I wanted to comfortably/enjoyably shoot in a short, alloy pistol that was all grip to allow 10+1. Looking back, I enjoy shooting my SA Lightweight Commander much more.
And I think that the Warthog may not a true 1911, parts and user upgrades may be a problem
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

+1 on Steve. I had one a few years back as well. Always wanted one and it shot well, but it just didn't feel right. It didn't last long before I moved it. BUT, if the $450 price tag is in LNIB condition, I might do it again.
nope--it has a lot of holster wear... Going to look at it this weekend.
