Of the dozen Rugers that have came and went. This is the one that stay'ed. The boy shoot's it better than I ever will, Smart butt picks off twig tips and laughs about it. Never forget the look in his eye's one day when he thought I was headed out the door to sell it.
It's his gun, he just don't know it yet.

Jody, Great Ruger pics but I am not making anymore comments on the "wood" . Shoots comments spurred a thought I had about doing a single action "other" calendar also? We seem to have a membership full of some rather cool and interesting single actions as well. I guess how many calendars do we need? Lots if they have cool guns on them. Sorry to hijack the thread

The funny thing is, I found this in a gun shop as is, priced for $375.
It had my name on it! It also had flames around the barrel:
I have a big flame tattoo wrapped on my left arm! And the American flag:
'Cause even though I grew up in the South, I'm an American, dammit! My wife doesn't believe a word of it, even though it's the truth. She is convinced that I had it customed up. If I were going to custom something, I would do better than some trophy store engraving and bead-blasting all the bluing off (even though I like the end results in this case). The trigger is phenomenal, though. Breaks like the proverbial glass rod at about 2.5 lbs.

Oh she was tired and had a lot done. It does help and the noise isn't even noticed.... what was that you said, speak up.
Actually on the range you use hearing protection and you never hear or feel anyting with game in front of you. I really have any objection to the noise.
Their action job is very good... trigger is a little lighter than I want, but crisp and makes me look better than I am.

My Ruger Bearcat in .22rf...My dad found this gun after my grandma passed away. It was atop the armoire in the main hallway. My dad said he never knew that she kept a gun (she was a single mother raising 3 kids in the '40s and '50s). Anyway, he gave it to me. It is the one gun that I will never sell...

Honestly I've never been a fan of Ruger anything (especially when that bastard Bill was alive).
But one of the guys I work with has an LCP and I like it a lot better than my wife's Keltec P3AT.
And if I had the money I'd love to have an SP101 done by Gemini Customs
