I was looking on proxibid came across these Taurus guns and never seen any of them before in very long barrels and weird calibers such as a Raging Thirty a 8 shot 30 Caliber, a Raging Bee in 218 Bee Caliber, a 17 HMR 7 shot, & 22 magnum and 44 magnum in 12 inch barrels! Though some of the members would be interested. I have never seen these offered before. This auction house I like. 17% is lower than most and includes free shipping!

Taurus is one brand that I haven't really paid much attention to. I have handled a couple decades ago at gun shows, and at the time, they just didn't have the look and feel of a quality gun. And plus, the prices were often in the range of cheap gun makers. But I guess they have improved since then, because they are still around & their prices are now into "serious gun manufacturer" range.
I did notice one of those long barrel guns pop up on GB a week or two ago (I forget the caliber), that ended up with a final bid over the $1K range. That made me kinda go "hmmm"...

I’ve never owned a Taurus. This info surprises me, I’ve always discounted the brand as inferior. Might be worth a second look.
Ha Ha...You don't remember what was espoused about the Dan Wesson back when??
Heck...Even Ruger was attacked!! If you didn't own a Fragile Colt, or an Over Priced S&W....you didn't have Nuthin!!!
Glad I went with my Gut
Edit; I would be more than glad to compare Factory...out of the Box, Triggers!!!
oh, and not been back to manufacturer...at all!

The first gun I owned was a Taurus 357 magnum 8 inch stainless. It was a great gun and never had any problems. I also have a Taurus G2 9mm I bought 9 years ago and it's been the best $200 gun ever. It's never had any problems with jams and I have put over 1000 rounds thru it. I originally bought it just for a car gun and it still sits in my car today but it is being replaced by my S&W M&P 22 magnum with the 30 round magazine. I love this new S&W with the Tempo barrel it runs 22 mags like no other 22 mag auto! Me likee a 30 round pistol without an extended mag sticking out of the bottom!

Well I picked up two of the Taurus 12 inch for a great price! One is a Stainless Steel 44 magnum with 12 inch barrel $500 and the other is a blued 22 magnum with a 12 inch barrel ($475). This company is one of the best deals on proxibid. Sullivan & Co charges 17% no tax and free shipping. My total for both guns was $1140 so $570 total for each gun! Both are brand new and in original boxes. The last time these were made was around 2002!
