It's a beauty! The High Standard Crusaders are great. They started with 50 each of the engraved 8 inch Crusaders in 44 magnum and 45 Colt. THen they followed up with the production run that only lasted for a short while before the company went bankrupt and was sold halting the production of the regular 6 inch guns. There were only 388 of the 45 Colt regular run and 422 of the 44 magnums they came in wood cases so they are almost as rare as the original 50 engraved ones!

There were actually 51 each made as the serial numbers began with 0 .
The guns shipped in .44 Mag numbered 475 and 381 in .45 Colt less 51 that would be 424 and 330 in the shorter barreled version.
The company did not go bankrupt but closed with an orderly liquidation.
They did not all come with the wooden case.
None were ever shipped as matched pairs. Matched pairs were created by dealers.
The production of these models did not cotinue to the end of the company's life.
