I didn't shoot it or take any other photos except the ones at the PD. I just tucked it away and tried not to look at it since we were going to abide by his last wishes. I admit I was secretly wishing the PD didn't want it but they did and it's hanging next to his picture and the "citizen on patrol" guy's photo. It showed no signs of being fired and I still have the original box.

No kidding! Grinding the firing pin would have been a deal breaker for me to desecrate a fine old classic like that.
Yeah, they didn't tell me until after it was done. I wish they didn't tell me at all. In the end it wouldn't have made a difference since I had to honor a dying WW2 veteran's(Army Airborne at 17 yr old) wishes. The guns he left behind resulted in my revolver addiction.
