I'm a happy old man these days. Last Saturday night my son called me after I left a message. We talked for almost 2 hours. He has a great attitude. It is amazing how much we have in common. His hobby is collecting guns and shooting at the range. He works in Birmingham for a security company out of Ohio and was on his way to the range to re-qualify with his duty weapon. We are planning a day at the range soon.
I have taken the S&W .32 to have it cleaned before I go ahead and pass it on to him. We have not met yet but I'm really looking forward to it. I still want him to have it no matter how our relationship goes.
That's my good news for now. I'm on cloud 9.

Thats great Hossman! No matter your past, you are still father and son. Your son will forever regret it if he doesn't reconcile with you while he can. Its wonderful that you are getting this second chance to make ammends. The good lord is looking out for you.
