I saw a most unusual Anaconda today (unfortunately, no cellphone=no pix 
).
8" with primarily a high quality satin finish (almost a very fine bead blast), not just factory stainless. The under lug, hammer, trigger, cylinder release, and cylinder flutes were all mirror polish stainless that look identical to bright nickel. The barrel was compensated with a series of five holes on either side of the front sight. A very BEAUTIFUL revolver in excellent condition, I was surprised that it was selling for $899. Still out of my price range, but really stunning to look at.
We do see lots of unique Colts in this area because the factory is here, and the Colt execs used to get custom work done in the factory (probably pretty cheap, too)
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I actually was going to put $$$ down on it, but decided to stick to the Plan: I have a gun I'm going to sell, and some cash already, the first good deal on either a Model 40 or CBOB wins the prize.

Are you sure it was an Anaconda?. Colt made a short run of what they called the Grizzly and the Kodiak. One was a King Cobra with a Python styled barrel and the other was
an Anaconda with barrel and rollmark changes. Like their Boa revolver.
Colt made some of the finest firearms ever made. But they were bad to take a barrel from one gun, stick it on another and call it something totally different.
They would only make a short run of them and charge out the Wazoo for it.
And they were right. They are highly collectable and expensive.

Barrel rollmarked Anaconda. In the Hartford, CT area (home of Colt) we do see some unusual Colts. The Colt exec's that live in the area sometimes sell off their Factory Custom goodies.
