My safe only has 3 Smiths in it. This factory 617 I bought cause I liked the grips so much, plus, you can never have enough .22's.

I have to agree that those grips are really gorgeous!

Nice looking 22's!  I actually bought a model 48 that someone had put a set of those grips on just for the grips.  I actually put those on my 586 to match my 16-4.

Recently, I acquired a S&W 460 Magnum XVR with a scope.  I have not shot it yet as I refuse to pay retail on ammo.  I've purchased 300 rounds of brass (ouch!), bullets, and dies so I'm ready to go as soon as I do some reloading.

Until now I've only owned DWs with the exception of Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum.  (I sold the Ruger many moons ago because it never fit me right.)

Let's see 'em.

Also, we need a range report as soon as you try it out.

Although, you may want to wear a hockey goalie's facemask when you do shoot it.Big Grin rofl

Well it took awhile, but I finally cleaned up all the Smiths for a family photo.  The two in the first photo are the model 57 and the 629:

Next we have the whole gang:

16-4 32 H&R, Airlight 32 H&R, 586, 57, 617, 629.  The 586 has seen more rounds through it by me than any other gun I own.  I used to shoot weekly bullseye matches and used it for the center fire firearm with 38 specials.

That is a good lookin' family of Smiff's!Drool

How is the DA trigger pull on the Airlite? I've been pondering getting one of those for my Mom to use for her HD gun...she's currently using my Colt snubby.

CF, It is stiff to be expected as a defense gun, but my father had a colt detective special years ago that almost took two hands to pull the trigger.  It is very tolerable.

SMF, I also have a 16-4 and a 586.  The 16-4 seems to be a pretty desired gun these days.  There's two on GB right now with $800 bids.
